Given that lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related death in the U.S., guidelines for postponing screening may have profound impacts on those struggling with the disease. Dr. Dyer practices at National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado where she serves as professor and chair of the department of radiology. She also heads the Lung Cancer Screening 2.0 Committee at the ACR.
